Who is responsible for looking after my information?

Kim Bainbridge is trading as Kim Bainbridge Photography, 56 Evistone Gardens, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 3RS, and is registered with the ICO.  Kim Bainbridge is responsible for ensuring that Kim Bainbridge Photography complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  Kim Bainbridge is the "data controller".

Kim Bainbridge Photography requires the information to carry out the wedding photography services and for marketing purposes (if you have requested this).

Where does this information come from?

Information Kim Bainbridge Photography receives about individuals comes only from individuals, most commonly via the website, online gallery, email, social media, in person at wedding fairs, or the Wedding Information Form.

 

Who might this information be shared with?

If you have made an inquiry via the website (www.kimbainbridgephotography.com) emailed directly (info@kimbainbridgephotography or via social media your name and email address may be shared with Facebook (for marketing purposes).  You can view the Facebook privacy policy here.  Kim Bainbridge Photography may share clients' information with the other photographers, who have been contracted to carry out photography by Kim Bainbridge Photography, to the extent that is necessary to allow these photographers to perform their assignments.  This will most likely take the form of sharing information provided by the clients when filling in the Wedding Information Form.

Otherwise, Kim Bainbridge Photography never shares information with anyone else unless written consent has been received from the individual concerned.  The exception to this is where your consent is lawfully overruled, for example via a court order.

 

How long is my information held for?

Any information received by Kim Bainbridge Photography will not be kept for longer than is necessary for the purpose(s) set out above. Kim Bainbridge Photography will usually delete personal data falling within the categories set out below within a reasonable period of:

 

  • Newsletters and/or guides: when the individual has received the newsletter or guide, or when any resulting communication with the individual has stopped

  • For clients where photography has been booked for their wedding day: once communication has completely ceased, which may be sometime after the wedding date, owing to ongoing communication.  For example, notifying individuals that an online gallery is expiring may take place many months after the wedding date.

  • Enquiries from prospective clients about potential wedding bookings: once communication has completely ceased.

 

 

Kim Bainbridge Photography has measures in place to keep personal data held safe and secure - all data is stored solely electronically and is always password protected.

While Kim Bainbridge Photography will use all reasonable efforts to safeguard your data, you acknowledge that the use of the internet is not entirely secure and for this reason, Kim Bainbridge Photography cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal data that are transferred from you or to you via the internet

 

What happens if there is a data breach?

If there is a data breach, this is reported as necessary to the ICO and investigated thoroughly.  You are also informed immediately.

 

What if I have a problem?

Where you do not believe this privacy policy is being adhered to, please inform Kim Bainbridge Photography immediately via the address above, or via the contact form on the website or email info@kimbainbridgephotography.com  Other comments regarding this privacy policy are also welcomed.  You also have a right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe there is a problem with the way data is being held.

 

How can I access the information held about me?

Any requests for information should be put in writing via the address above, or the contact form on the website or email info@kimbainbridgephotography.com and will be dealt with within one month. Contact can also be made in this way if you wish to have information about you deleted or withdraw your consent to this privacy policy.
